The winter ski area is connected via the connecting lifts Golden Gate to the Glacier lift as standard with the two glacier ski areas, so you can reach up to 3,340 m right from the village to Skiernzum glacier.
From the black edge on Rettenbachgletscher the longest descent with approx. 15 km and a vertical drop of 1,900 m to the valley.

The varied range includes:
From a simple terrain in the area for beginners Innerwald on Giggijoch, with a host of blue and red runs in the entire ski up to the more challenging slopes at Gaislachkogl. Sölden is known for its wide and perfectly groomed slopes, which are prepared daily in its entirety with the 25 groomers. The Gaislachkogl (3.058m) is very popular with freeriders who are looking for the free ski terrain off-piste, the ultimate skiing experience.

Sölden is the BIG 3 is the only ski area in Austria 3 three thousand meters peaks, which are accessible with modern cable cars.

The BIG 3 Rally leads not only to this summit, but safely through the entire ski area.

BEST VIEWPOINTS

  • BIG3 Black blade (3,340 m): Black from the mountain station of the 8EUB cutting edge 15 min. (90 meters altitude) to ascend on foot to nature platform. Looking up at over 100 km (Dolomites, Marmolada, Ortler, Zugspitze)
  • BIG3 Tiefenbachkogl (3,250 m): directly at the mountain station of the 8EUB Tiefenbach is the cantilevered panorama ridge that extends beyond 20 m, the wild peak (3,776 m) - the highest mountain in Tyrol is comming grasp
  • BIG3 Gaislachkogl (3,048 m): directly at the mountain station of the Gaislachkoglebahn to befidnet the ellypsenförmige viewing platform, accessible for pedestrians.
  • Rotkogelhütte (2,660 m) at the hub of the ski between Giggijoch and the glacier connection and offers a wonderful view of the Rettenbachgletscher and the north side of the Gaislachkogl with its countless freeride descents.
